Have you seen Gone Baby Gone? I just watched it and wanted to hear your thoughts on it if you havent.

I've been wanting to watch it FOREVER. Somehow I've managed to remain unspoiled on it. I'll see if I can find it next time I go to the video store.

I can back up Pudie's promise. Say what you will about his acting, but Ben Affleck can direct. GBG is a helluva film.

Based on reputation alone, I have more respect for Ben Affleck the director than Ben Affleck the actor. Plus Good Will Hunting was pretty good.

I'll see if Blockbuster (ugh) has it next time I'm there. I also want to get Before Sunset. I wanted to get it this time around because I have Before Sunrise and will be watching it tonight, and wanted to watch them as a double feature. But I'm a dope and thought the sequel was called "After Sunset". Doh! If they have the original, surely they'll have the sequel. I hope.

Oh my God, Before Sunrise has made me so freaking emotional. It really, really struck a chord with me, and I'm having trouble writing my review because I can't compose myself. I love it when I find a new movie I can relate to, but it's also made me feel very sad.

I'm glad you liked it...why is it making you sad?

It's a fantastic movie.

Before Sunset is brilliant as well.

And Gone Baby Gone was my favorite of that year. Love it.

The Girl Who Played With Fire. Didn't enjoy it as much as The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, but it was still watchable.

It hit extremely close to home. I've had experiences in my life that closely mirror many of the scenes in the movie, especially the one where they're asking each other questions on the train. I guess it made me sad because I know how hard it is to have that sort of connection but be powerless to do much about it.

I've seen it a long time ago but remember it "clicking" with me in a profound way as well. I really need to see it again. It was also really emotional for me when I finally got to see Vienna in real life. Smile

I confess to not seeing Before Sunset. I guess I kinda liked how the first one ended.

Glad you enjoyed Kiss,Kiss, Bang, Bang...it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

I just watched The Breakfast Club. Why didn't I watch it when I was 15? Seriously. Such an amazing movie.

The Losers - I'll give The Losers a solid B+

This was definitely deserving of the critical backlash it received. All in all, it's a great way to waste an hour and a half.

Knowing absolutely nothing about previous media presentations/storylines etc, I went into it blind, so to speak. While I found the movie beautiful, I found the story to be old and stale. Corporate/military greed vs the underdog, complete with cheesy well versed cliche dialogue. I was disappointed, complete with eye rolling and chuckling. I watched the bluray version on an 82 inch screen, which was wonderful.

The Kids Are All Right

Despite a great, nuanced performance by Mark Ruffalo in an unsympathetic role, the story sadly fails to live up any of it's potential. Instead of taking the unique opportunity to explore a non-traditional family dynamic, it relies of poorly-drawn characters engaging in either stereotypical or anachronistic behaviors.
